Went here on an August mid-week in the morning. It was very cold. Booked ahead about PS8 each for the main pool. It is sea water so the same temp as the sea. In hindsight, I wish we had booked for the geothermal pool - this costs around PS16 per person and includes access to the standard pool to. It is around 27-30 degrees so a lot more comfortable. We enjoyed our experience but feel it could do with a bit of better signage and modernisation. It wasn't clear we had to go into the shop to check in. Changing rooms and toilet and shower on site. Also a cafe which was quite dear but had a nice hot chocolate to warm up after the coldness of the water. Overall would recommend but advise to go on a warm day or in the geothermal pool.
Always such a joy to visit Jubilee. Booked an all-inclusive deal for a solo visit and had a memorable, relaxing spa day here. Loved alternating between the geothermal and cold pool and the new sauna is brilliant. Pool temperature at 15.5 was actually too warm for me; I'm a cold-water swimmer and will have to come back in the autumn/winter . Friendly, generous staff at the cafe, the whole area is well-staffed with lifeguards and very well-kept, I always feel safe. Wonderful facilities, tasty food and coffee. The only suggestion I have is that it would've been good to have a few more hot options on the menu, even in the summer for cooler mizzly days like when I visited. Always look forward to my next visit. Curious if the geothermal gets turned up in winter?
Highly recommend checking Jubilee Pool out if you find yourself in Penzance. Kitsch retro architecture and cutesy pastel coloured changing room doors make for a cool aesthetic. The geothermal pool is like getting into a warm bath! The cold seawater pool was surprisingly not as cold as expected, likely due to being away from the currents so it works have warmed up throughout the day, so it was cold but not unbearable. TAKE A TOWEL, NOTHING IS PROVIDED! Worth checking the weather carefully and noting that you probably won't be drying off in the sun, so bring a nice big towel and a bag to stash your wet swimsuit in. It's recommend bringing flip flops too, as the changing rooms are quite dirty, so something for your feet helps.
Only 2 of 4 showers worked. Quite understand why dogs aren't allowed poolside, but an easier way to get from the dog access area and the pool would have been nice. Cafe is publicly accessible without using the pool, speaking of which seems quite well maintained, has a kids aqua assault course and a heated pool for a little extra. 5 lifeguards in attendance, suits the pool(s) size.
Thoroughly enjoyed our swim in this retro geothermal pool. The water was a great warm temperature and not overcrowded. One has to book a 1 hour time slot from 10h00. The cold pool was very cold!!
Just back from a visit to this wonderful outdoor pool. We spent a luxurious hour bobbing about in the geo thermal pool and then went a for a coffee in the cafe whilst the kids braved the cooler main pool! It was raining so we had to huddle onto an outdoor table as the cafe was very busy (midday lunch rush) but we were served with a fantastic flat white and very chunky hot sausage roll. Both were delicious. The changing rooms are clean as are the toilets and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!
