The Junction Swing Bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist swing bridge located in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It spans the River Tyne, connecting the city centre to the Quayside area. The bridge is 126 metres long and 5 metres wide, with a distinctive curved design. It has a central pivot point, allowing it to swing open to permit the passage of tall vessels on the river. The bridge is supported by two large counterweights, which facilitate its movement. It was designed by the architectural firm Mott MacDonald and opened in 2001.
