Kensington Gardens is perfect for family visits, the park offers a blend of historical charm, natural beauty, and delightful spots for relaxation. The Diana Memorial Playground provides a magical space for children to play and let their imagination run wild. While here, don't miss out on sipping a warm cup of coffee at the elegant Italian Garden and introducing your little ones to the Peter Pan statue. Kensington Gardens isn't just a green space; it's a canvas of history. Kensington Palace, once home to the beloved Princess Diana, has also opened its doors to notable figures like Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Kensington Gardens is managed by The Royal Parks, with the head office at The Old Police House, Hyde Park.
Huge area of land with lots of paths to walk down and beautiful flowers to look at. You could spend hours here looking at all the different sculptures dotted around. The lake leading to Kensington Palace is full of wildlife and places to sit to take it all in.
What a beautiful large park that has something for everyone! You have the pond with the ducks, swans, and other birds, you have the open fields for so many activities going on, you have the Diana children area, and so much more. This park has it all and it is beautiful and very well maintained. We felt safe while there and did not encounter any problems. Would recommend for your picnic, family gathering, relaxing, or your outdoor needs. This park is really great! Will definitely be back when visiting the area.
Too many people who leave their rubbish on the grass. Lots of food and garbage scattered around after picnics. Dirty nappies and used tampons for the dogs to discover! If people were civilised it would be a lovely park. I truly enjoyed it during the lockdowns when people were banned from venturing outside their neighbourhoods. Ignorants feeding the birds (white bread, usually)! Lots of dog thieves and pickpockets. Savage cyclists and mad people on electric scooters/bikes. Psychotic runners, dog poisoners and people who do not believe in cleaning after their dogs! I have been physically assaulted twice and followed several times when my Dog was a puppy. Rather stressful to go for a walk. I actually avoid this place. If you are a woman with a very young pup, do not walk your dog in this park, unless there is a big guy walking with you!
Beautiful gardens for a stroll with lots of interesting statues, art and wildlife. It can get crowded on the weekends if the weather is nice. But the longest uninterrupted avenue vista in London makes up for it.
Beautiful large park with so much to see. The 'Flower Walk' is very beautiful. Royal Albert Hall and the memorial are at one end and Kensington Palace at another. Queensway underground station on Central Line is the nearest station just outside the park. There's a beautiful pond and carousel. There are toilets and cafes.
Kensington Gardens is a beautiful park in London with lovely flower beds and historic landmarks like Kensington Palace. However, I found the condition of the grass to be lacking; it needs more attention and maintenance. While the park has its charms, the overall experience was somewhat diminished. I'd rate it 3 stars for this reason
