A picturesque coastal village in southwest Wales, Kidwelly Quay boasts a stunning natural harbour surrounded by rolling hills and scenic countryside. The quay itself is lined with historic buildings, including the 18th-century Kidwelly Castle, which now serves as a private residence. Visitors can stroll along the quay, taking in the charming atmosphere and admiring the colourful boats bobbing gently in the water. The surrounding area offers scenic walks and opportunities to spot local wildlife, including seabirds and seals.
Great camper spot, good signal, nice views and plenty of space
Delightful area with parking and lots of seats to enjoy the (hopefully) sunshine and ambience, very pleasant for a stroll.
Wonderful scenery. Gree parking. Breathtaking views.
Visited Kidwelly Quay last week as I was looking for somewhere nice to walk. I wasn't disappointed. The parking is free which allows you to explore as much as you want. There are different routes to follow and these are clearly signposted, the coastal path was my favourite as it went all around the Quay and really gave you beautiful views on your walk. Dogs are allowed which is a huge plus as they love it here, lots of smellies and space for them. Lots of benches to sit on up at the main Quay near the car park if you want to rest your legs a little. Would have given it one more star if there was a little cafe, as I think that would be nice to have a cuppa after a long walk.
Lovely for a walk, with plenty of fresh air. Lots of seating and benches too. The only thing not so pleasant it appears to be the home for a great number of rats.
It's basically a dog toilet, full of irresponsible owners who don't clean up the mess or clean up but then sling their dog bags into the bushes. Many dogs are untrained, running wild, and barking at children. They should ban dogs; that's the only way these owners will learn, the hard way.
