A picturesque harbour situated on the southeastern coast of Ireland, Kilmore Quay Harbour is a charming fishing village surrounded by rolling hills and scenic coastline. The harbour itself is a bustling hub of activity, with colourful boats and yachts bobbing gently on the water. Visitors can stroll along the quay, taking in the sights and sounds of the working harbour, and enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many local restaurants. The village is also home to a number of quaint shops, cafes, and pubs, adding to its charm.
Lovely visit to Kilmore Quay and ferry out to the Saltee islands. We were lucky with the weather and got to see the puffins and lots of beautiful scenery. Highly recommend a visit. The village is lovely with many thatched cottages and places to eat. Don't leave without having fabulous chips and a nice variety of fresh fish.
Great spot! Lovely little village and the location to get a boat out to the Saltees. Has the best chipper around. Plenty of activity around the harbour and further up the Main Street with some great pubs, a quaint shop to potter in, some thatched cottages etc. A new children's play park is being built. Public toilets are available up near the harbour.
We're heading for saltee Island. The place is gorgeous but would recommend to pick a good weather. It can get very cold and not much of a shelter around. The harbour itself was very pretty with a fantastic beach to walk around
Beautiful spot. We happened to be there on a really nice day. Windy, but sunny and warm.
Great small village. It is very popular for Sunday outings and during the summer. Saltee chipper is really good but avoid on a really busy day as the food can be very greasy and not their usual standard. There are ice cream parlours and bars that serve food. A local shop. 2 beaches 1 small and 1 really large. The harbour has slip way access but you need a permit.
A little area hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Irish life. It was so nice to find somewhere where you find a park quite easily and get out and enjoy the area.
