This 35-acre park is home to a variety of animals, including goats, sheep, pigs, and ponies, as well as a walk-through aviary and a reptile house. The gardens feature a beautiful lake, walking trails, and a variety of plant species, including a sensory garden and a rose garden. Visitors can also explore the 16th-century Kingston Maurward House, which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Big garden and lake area to walk around with some nice plant and tree specimens. Some nice little stream, waterfalls and bridges to find too. Animals friendly. Nice little cafe with a few sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese and onion pastries, hot and cold drinks. Play barn area and park for the kids. Hand washing facilities and toilets. Nice little shop and area to buy plants. Free entry and parking too. We spent a good part of the day there. Recommended.
I went to visit the Animal and Garden area here as I had about 3 hours to spare. Entry to here is free of charge and great value. Small animal area easy to walk around with or without a buggy, and there's an outdoor play area for the kids and plenty of picnic tables for the adults to sit at. Cafe on site sells basic food drinks ice-cream, etc, and there's also an indoor play area . If you're feeling like stretching your legs, then head out through the gardens and down to the lake. Reasonable amount of free parking available, toilets, and plenty of hand washing facilities . Entry and exit is through a small gift shop. I can see why it's busy on a sunny day and would recommend getting here early.
Beautiful park- would highly reccomend going with children (or even as an adult for a sunny stroll)! There is no entry fee so would definitely stop off for a coffee and cake whilst visiting. The park was well looked after with great facilities.
Has to be a top attraction for value! We visited after a couple of very wet days and wellies would be our top tip. Our visit was a very enjoyable 3.5 hours. Its completely free to park, and no charge to enter the park & gardens through the entrance shop. Our kids loved looking at the animals (rabbits, Guinea Pigs, llamas, donkeys, horses, goats, ducks, geese, pigs, chickens etc). Lots of outdoor picnic tables, and the cafe in the play barn was also exceptional value (kids lunch bag PS3.50 for example). You can wander though the gardens, and take a longer walk around the lake over to the Old Manor House if you want to stretch your legs more. Thank you to everyone at Kingston Maurward.
First time going today and me and the kids loved it lots of places to hide in the shade lovely walk around the lake could of spent longer there will definitely be returning the 2 lady's in the shop was very helpful and friendly
Gorgeous place for a family day at a very low cost (only if you want to eat at the coffee shop), beautiful scenery, plenty of contact animals which look well looked after, clean place, plenty of parking available, staff at the coffee shop is really not friendly but the rest is so nice that you can easily dismiss their service etiquette. Great place all round
