What a beautiful one off experience. Highly recommended. Lots of stairs so be warned but the views, sound of the sea, history etc make up for it!
Firstly, Kingswear Castle isn't somewhere you can go and visit. It's a holiday cottage, run by the Landmark Trust. As a place to go and stay for a few days, it's amazing. Where else can you live in a Castle right on the rocks by the sea for a few days. Inside it's cozy and warm (well, the living rooms anyway) and it does feel like a castle. The view from the roof terrace is stunning and the grounds are lovely. We've stayed twice now and loved it each time.
Not possible to get to location.every thing is private property or private road. No parking. Not worth wasting time
The castle is located in a fantastic hill and there is a stunning view from there.
You have to enjoy walking to go to the castle If you don't you will struggle. Personally I like a challenge. Very scenic area.
It was ok didn't get to go in but walked round area in to coves lot of steps
