Herefordshire's #1 Go-Karting circuit. At 900m we are by far the longest track in the west midlands. Set in the rural Welsh border countryside - near the town of Presteigne. We are nestled between the three counties of Powys, Herefordshire & Shropshire. Featuring hire-kart Grand Prix style racing for groups of 6 or more (age 16+). Kart Practice sessions for smaller groups - 10min sessions & you can have as many as you can handle! (Usually 2/3 is plenty as the track is long, fast & physical) BIKE PRACTICE DAYS: Pit Bike/Mini Bike/Mini GP/Ohvale/Supermoto KART OWNER PRACTICE: Times vary (see latest facebook posts or get in touch) PRIVATE TRACK HIRE: Get in touch to hire the track exclusively! *3hr sessions *Full day
Top bloke marshalling and maintaining the incredible homemade karts and a really well thought out track. We'll definitely be back 2 weeks later back again and it certainly wasn't a fluke! ignore the bad reviews as they clearly don't have clue what they're on about! Mick is an amazing bloke that never fails to take care of everyone. Stayed after our kart sessions to watch the pitbikes and minimotos going round and got some pics and vids (including someones crash!! must've been camera shy!)
Three of us enjoyed a great session on the track at Kinsham yesterday. I think it helped that we were evenly matched in our limited ability, which made for some exciting racing. We also had one spectator and they found the elevated viewing position, superior to that of another track we have visited. I note that the track has previously been called 'no-frills' and that's probably fair, but it had all we needed - karts, equipment, challenging track, a viewing area and helpful staff. We are all looking forward to visiting again.
A thoroughly excellent experience, track, karts and Mick the host. We couldn't have enjoyed it more, and will come back as soon as we can.
Just visited this place again after 20 years. Just as much fun as ever. It's a fairly no-frills experience but seems to be way more fun than most places because of that.Very relaxed atmosphere but still provides everything you need to have a good time. The track is an awesome layout and the rental karts are fast enough to have a great time in. Rates are reasonable and you'll leave here with a smile on your face. Highly recommended.
The only redeeming feature Kinsham Raceway has is the length of the track, in every other respect it's poor, at best. No timing, no track lights, no on-track marshals, no facilities other than a single portaloo. The helmets are ancient, the overalls are the the cheapest workshop overalls money can buy and the karts (which are running) are ancient, single engined, and slow. The track is in poor condition and there are essentially no safety measures. PS60 per person for a grand prix format with about 30 mins on track each is terrible value, particularly compared to another local track (Herefordshire Raceway) which is in another league.
Track and staff excellent but deducted 1 star because when we arrived on time they said the previous group were overrunning and could we come back in an hour (which messed up our plans for the evening) and I deducted another star because there was no print out or info about your lap times. We'd booked 2 sessions so in the second session I asked if they could time us but they said "no - we've turned the computer off now".
