A stunning Victorian-era building with a rich history, Kipling Hall is a majestic structure featuring intricate stonework, grand archways, and ornate detailing. The hall's façade is adorned with a striking clock tower, while its interior boasts elegant wood paneling, sweeping staircases, and expansive windows that flood the space with natural light.
We were very impressed with excellent background provided by the helpful guides in each room. Nice cafe in the house where we enjoyed a tea and slice of cake after our tour. Outside gardens and lake to enjoy, a really good day out.
An interesting place. The house has a lot of furniture, some very unusual. The upstairs is a bit of a maze with lots of rooms leading into one another. On the 2nd floor is a replica of a ship that the original owner sailed to America on. There are several staff who are very willing to tell you the history of the place and about the families that lived here. The gardens are well kept and well worth a walk round. Overall I would say the entry fee is good value and cheaper than a national trust property fee would be.
Lovely historic house, small scale but interesting. Just chatting to the volunteers in the rooms brought the place to life. Impressive library. Great half day out and if the weather is kind the gardens and lakeside is beautiful. Pleasant tea room with freshly baked goods. Well worth a visit.
We had a lovely day at Kiplin Hall. Beautiful house, lake, and gardens; very nice and tasty lunch inside the hall. Every staff /volunteer we met was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a perfect place for a beautiful day out.
