This 17th-century English Baroque mansion features a striking façade with a central clock tower, symmetrical wings, and ornate stone carvings. The grand interior boasts opulent state rooms, including a Great Hall with a high ceiling and large windows, a Chapel with intricate woodwork, and a Long Gallery with family portraits. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens, a lake, and a woodland walk.
Really lovely, nice to stroll around in your own time. Gardens are beautiful and well kept. Also has a great picnic area worn peacock la walking around, where you can enjoy drinks and icecream
Amazing. Love this place. So much history over many many years. Defiantly recommend the audio guide. Wasn't sure but so glad I did. Without it I would not of enjoyed the place as much. Helpful staff on. Excellent toilet facilities. Great for kids too.
Spent a very pleasant morning at Kirby hall, well kept gardens with picnic tables. Visiting musicians inside and outside made for a great experience. Well worth a visit and well done @English heritage.
Its an ok ruin to explore, but only takes an hour to look around and was a bit deserted for a saturday in the summer holidays. Probably not the best value if paying full entry fee, but worth a visit as a member.
Wonderful place where you can spend a pleasant sunny day out . Great gardens and hystorical building, picnic area . At the reception, a kind and helpful lady and guy welcome you . There, you can get a coffee capuccino , tea or ice cream, and snacks. Good sized car park 100 meters from the reception .
Lovely place, mostly a ruin, but retaining a lot of very interesting structure and ornament. Good to visit on a sunny day. Can see most of it in an hour. Good place also for a picnic. Has a flock of tame peacocks. Told by staff Kirby Hall doesn't own them, they are wild and free roaming. They come and eat out of your hand but note: their beaks are quite sharp!
