What a gorgeous place, took my Border Collie 'Dave' for some long walks on multiple paths over hilly terrain. Some covered with stone, some just forest floor and can be quite muddy in wet weather. Watch out for MTB'ers if you go near the MTB fun park, but would love to come back with my MTB one day as the MTB trails looked a lot of fun too! Big thanks to the forestry people for maintaining it and providing a decent parking area.

It has beautiful parts (see photo) but storms wrecked some areas over the last few years as well as commercial clear-felling. I was walking along a meandering footpath which suddenly opened out to a cleared area with caterpillar tracks, whereas a year ago, it remained bordered by mature forest, shielding unwelcome views of the main road and airport. The illusion of remotes was shattered.

Really nice forest that has very little damage from thd storms. Tracks are clear and of mixed types. New carpark is excellent, hopefully a new route map will be coming soon. Great for horse riding

Absolutely beautiful place that is worth coming to. The snow was especially magical despite getting my shoes soaked, the view is stunning, as we can even see Aberdeen and the sea. Only thing is if you don't have a car, it's pretty much impossible to come as the nearest bus stop is in the middle of the road.

Nice varied forests, and REALLY long walking paths/tracks, which are wide & well used/maintained. Some of the mountain-bike trails seem to be quite extreme! & plenty of quiet spots where you can 'just get away from it all, & enjoy nature'.

Lovely scenery but not ideal access via public transit. Me and my girlfriend took the 9 bus and then had to walk along the A96 for about fifteen minutes with a similar walk on the way back. It's a little uncomfortable because of the noise and the 70mph traffic wizzing by. There is a desire path on the side of the road so clearly plenty of people take this path anyway. Seems like adding a new bus stop at the park entrance and a pedestrian bridge across the road would make it a lot more accessible.
