This tranquil nature reserve features two shallow lagoons surrounded by wet meadows and woodland, providing a haven for a variety of wildlife including otters, water voles, and birds such as lapwings and snipe. A network of walking trails and hides offer opportunities to observe and connect with nature.
Great place for an easy walk. Nice old kirk to go and look round, also plenty of Birds to be spotted.
Such a peaceful walk. Lots of wildlife just a lovely place to visit for an hour or so
Great walk with the dog, all of us in winter coats! Only drawback is big hole at entrance to car park which needs to be avoided.
One of many visits. Worthwhile 'rewilding' nature reserve for walkers, dog walkers, runners, mountain bikers and bird watchers. Ponds, wild orchids, wildflowers and interesting grasses with well-maintained level gravel paths and of course great views of the lagoons. Well worth a visit. Car park.
It was a great place to visit, unfortunately for me the birds were all in the distance but you could hear a lot plenty of warblers and buntings about also spotted a lone red kite a bit overgrown and the pools lacking water but still think I'll visit again especially once most of the trees are bare looking forward to visiting again
Was a bit soggy and wet but a nice wander round, good signage and paths were kept well.
