Lands End's Place is a must-visit for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Highly recommended for a day out or a calming weekend getaway.
What a beautiful place to visit. You walk along the coast to view the enigmatic Cornwall coastline. There are toilets and cafes on site, but the food is quite pricey, as is the man charging over PS10 to take a photo of you next to the Land's End sign post. Also arrive early as the car park fills quite quickly. Despite this, you can easily move away from the crowds to enjoy the atmosphere and sheer beauty of the place.
It's like a pilgrimage. You have to go there if you are visiting Cornwall. Go there every year. Always the same has not changed since I saw it many years ago, but always a pleasure to go there. The scenery never fails to impress. The souvenir shops have good variety. Mind you was very expensive this time round. Firework display is really great, I was in time for the fireworks season.
Beautiful, wild and rugged views along with attractions, food courts and trinket shops. Plenty of parking. We went on one of the days when there are fireworks starting at 22:00 and it was a positive experience. Most of the attractions were open and they had some bands playing too. Plenty of parking, enough to do while you're waiting for the fireworks, etc. Cost PS8 to park for the evening, but that includes the fireworks.
This is a place everyone should visit at least once! Yes, it's commercialised, but that doesn't detract from the beauty and spectacle of this coastline. Land's End is free to enter, but there is a charge for parking (which goes towards the conservation of the coast, its wildlife and heritage). Came here by coach and did not get a long stay, but I enjoyed every minute! There's lots to see and do in the village: a visitor centre, fun experience attractions for adults and kids, cafes and bars, a fish and chip restaurant, a shopping centre, picnic areas and more. Toilets are next to the entrance. Beyond the village is a lookout point with info boards and a gorgeous view out towards the Longships Lighthouse. The famous sign is close by, but you have to pay to have your photo taken next to it, and there was a long queue, so I gave it a miss! It's just a short walk up the hill to the whitewashed First and Last House with its nice gift shop and lovely ice-cream, but again you have to queue. Enjoyed a bracing walk along the cliffs. Paths were a bit steep and stony in places, though not a problem for most people. But the views of waves crashing against jagged rocks, and heathers and wildflowers blooming on the clifftops, were breathtaking. I really enjoyed the time I spent at Land's End. Well worth a return visit.
When in Cornwall, this is a must to visit, just to say you've been there. Amazing views. A little bit of history. Had to have a cream tea over looking the ocean. PS30 just under for a cream tea, 2 cakes, latte, and a coke. There is a fireworks display in August a few nights a week. Parking was PS8.00 for the day no matter what time you arrive or how long you stay.
