This charming heritage railway showcases a collection of vintage locomotives and offers scenic train rides through the picturesque Lappa Valley.
Had a lovely time here, parked up and caught the 10:45 train into the park, thought it would be good to spot things along the journey, (or, cut outs of owls, birds, ducks or something) lots of out door play areas, crazy golf, digger zone, small train ride, pedal cars and other play equipment. More open during the summer months. Indoor soft play area and cafe, also party rooms and toilets. A great day out for all ages. Highly recommend.
Excellent day out very accommodating to my husbands wheelchair. There was even room on the train would highly recommend
Absolutely fantastic! Loved it! Great fleet of locos ranging from 15" to 10 1/4" and 7 1/4" . Loads of things for kids to do, outdoor slides small and big, climbing frames, swings, diggers and excellent modern indoor soft play. Good choice of food from smaller ice cream parlour and restaurant within the new building where the soft play is located. Had a great chat with a very friendly chap called Keith who we later discovered was the owner and we had a few things in common, all staff wonderfully polite and friendly. Will certainly revisit!
We were thoroughly impressed with our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful and everywhere was clean. Fantastic facilities and there are plenty of baby changing stations. There is plenty to do with the kids; we arrived when the park opened and had to leave mid afternoon for naps, but there is more than enough to do for a full day out. We will definitely be returning for another visit soon
Always loved Lappa Valley. I thought maybe the new play area would make it too modern but it hasn't ruined it at all. It looks like it's always been there. The improvements there are great. Lappa is especially good for younger children as the rides don't go to fast. The staff are brilliant. Mr Cup cake he calls himself at work is brilliant. The other staff I don't know the names of. The other man that drives the train to the woods and also helps out round the site is friendly, helpful and kind with customers. It can be pricey as all places are, but if your children or grownups are into steam trains and you get there early it's a lovely relaxing day. I'd highly recommend this for younger children or if your older and trains are your thing. Obviously it's aimed most at children with the parks, play area etc. Included are train rides, Pedal swan boats, crazy golf, parks, soft play, cafe and woodland walk in a beautiful location.
Lovely place surely a highlight for all little train fans! You park up in a good car park, and take the little steam train up to the main site (c. 5 min journey). Do book your train for busy times! Once on site there is loads for kids to do, including a decent sized outdoor play area, mini golf, pedalos (you would need to be c. 1.4m height to reach the pedals, each boat fits 5), a new indoor soft play and cafe, plus 2 other mini rail lines. A lot to do for the entrance fee, plus mini electric ride ons for PS1.50 a go extra (token from gift shop). Lovely staff across the site and the cafe was brilliant. Its down long country lanes but so worth it.
