Latimer Park is a 19th-century country house estate situated in Buckinghamshire, England. The estate features a stunning Victorian-era mansion surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, woodland, and a serene lake. The mansion itself boasts an impressive collection of antique furniture, artwork, and historical artifacts. Visitors can explore the opulent state rooms, including the grand ballroom, dining room, and library, each showcasing the property's rich history and architectural grandeur. The gardens offer scenic walking trails, a tranquil atmosphere, and picturesque views of the surrounding countryside.
This park never disappoints. I've walked through during every season and the views are always great. It fun seeing the fields different colors depending on time of year and the Chess river is lovely. The entire Chess Valley walk is great but this spot is where it opens up and you can find a great place to sit or wander and just enjoy being outdoors. There aren't any restrooms or playgrounds at this park. It really is just an outdoor space made for hikers and those passing through.
Lovely peaceful atmosphere. Very enjoyable.
Attractive building in some lovely grounds. The house was used to imprison German officers during the war, whose conversations were bugged for information about the war. Now a hotel/venue. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with views of the Chess Valley and easy access to the the woods on the other side.
It's a nice place a bit private so can't really go anywhere
Full of History and beautiful surroundings. Grow up around here. My father was the original Gain keeper.
Latimer is a beautiful country side
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
