A scenic viewpoint overlooking the Lealt Falls, a series of three waterfalls on the River Lealt in the Highlands of Scotland. The viewpoint offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the waterfalls, which cascade down the rocky slope in a series of dramatic drops. On a clear day, the sun catches the spray of the falls, creating a misty veil that rises into the air. The area is surrounded by rugged scenery, with heather-covered moorland and rocky outcrops stretching as far as the eye can see.
Amazing view with flowing waterfalls and we saw the northern lights here after going back at night. Check out the images. The northern lights were the most dramatic at this spot we found and at night with the waterfalls flowing in the background it was an incredible experience.
This is the first viewpoint of the two, and is very close to the road and the car park. It is best for aged people and children to come and have a look at the falls without walking over the hills for the other viewpoint.
Free parking at the side of the road with a short walk to the viewing point, going down to the waterfall is a bit steep with a few steps. Worth it though.
They've built an overhanging platform to get a better look at the falls.
Worth a stop for a quick look. The waterfall viewing point is seconds away from the carpark. I was lucky enough to be there after a rain storm and the volume of water through the falls are incredible. I share the sentiments with other reviewers that the view on the other side of the cliff (about 5mins walk from the waterfall viewing point) is much nicer than the falls. Dont miss that.
Beautiful, it's definitely worth walking all the way down to the sea, you can walk towards the waterfall, we could let the dogs off the lead & had a paddle ourselves very peacefully x
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Good for kids
