A beautiful walk to Leeds via Saltaire canal. On the signage it says 3 hrs to complete. Though, I completed in 4 1/2 hrs. However, it could be done less than 3 hrs. A great exercise, but, cyclists should not be allowed to use it. This is for ramblers enjoying a good sunshine day walking and not have to move aside for cyclists racing like ad if it's F1 Formula. People should not throw litter, I've seen with my piercing angry eyes. I love these walks and one should show more care and love for our nature. When completing 10k+ to Leeds, is wonderful.
A great stretch of the canal, with some fine places to visit - parks, art galleries pubs and breweries. I would recommend the 4 mile walk to the Bingley Five Rise, five steeply-rising locks on a dramatic setting. An amazing achievement of the time. Explore!
It's great to have this on our doorstep! But I should just say that the massive puddle level w. the E end of the Mill buildings can leave such a narrow dry edge alongside the drop into the canal itself that it's challenging to people with limited balance/coordination.
