This theme park in North Yorkshire, England, features over 40 rides and attractions, including the Ultimate rollercoaster, the longest rollercoaster in Europe, as well as water rides, a bird sanctuary, and a range of gentler attractions for younger children.
This place was amazing !! We had the best day. My 3.5 years old daughter could ride on almost everything and she loved it. Even my 1year old could go on some rides with me so we enjoyed to much as a family. We went on a Friday so it was quiet and we didn't have to queue. The weather was great and in general it exceeded our expectations. It is so so worth it and we can't wait to go back.
Really loved this park. My kids are 5 and 9 and they both absolutely loved it here. Loads of rides. We arrived at 10:30 and couldn't get everything done in the day, not because it was busy, but because it was just way bigger than we thought. Wait times for the rides were fine and this was during the school summer holidays. Staff were friendly. The only thing I would say is that the Alice in wonderland ride really needs some work. Do not wait any time to get on this its current state. I felt that everything was a decent price for a theme park.
To start with I booked the wrong date, I called the park and they swapped it no problems, no fuss. So great start! On the day I arrived just at opening time and was greeted by plenty of people guiding the parking. Inside the park I noticed lots of staff everywhere. They were all polite, took the height restrictions on rides seriously and it made me feel confident that safety was a priority. We never queued for a ride all day which was amazing! On the old fashioned wooden swings at the back of the park an attendant helped my 3 year old onto the swing and even pushed him. Lovely chap, I didn't get his name, I'd describe him as an 18 year old Asian man working around 11:30am on the swings. The park was spotlessly clean, there were toilets everywhere you went. I liked that the park was meant for children, although adults could accompany them on most things. We used the toddler term time offer and paid PS32 for 2 adults and 2 children which I thought ended up being excellent value. We spent the whole opening till closing time at the park and we did take our own picnic. I'd recommend to do this as the food prices did seem high. Overall we had a very pleasant day at the park, and although I have never been before will be back again probably using the toddler term time offer (or similar).
Brilliant theme park for under 12s. A good variety of rides amusements. They had bouncey Castle slides and an inflatable obstacle course, and trampolines to go on for free too which was great. There is a great 18 hole dinosaur themed mini golf at the entrance which was great, it was PS3pp for a family 2A2C for PS10 and it was great and loads of fun. Great day out
Had a great day out here. Loads of rides of various sizes, great layout. You can get fed and watered here. The kids had a blast. Not just for the kids there are rides for adults too. Great play areas plenty of places to rest your feet as well
We wanted to take our 18 month old grandson to his first theme park and this place is ideal as it is aimed at kids 12 and under. We had a great day exploring the park and there were lots of rides that he could go on obviously some he couldn't. He loved the soft play and riding on the train, he also loved the farm tractor ride. What I liked about the park was how friendly the staff were and how clean they kept the park, I certainly appreciated their hard work on quite a warm day. There are lots of food options on site and what we had (fish and chips) was reasonably priced and good quality. I hate it when attractions sell really low quality food at a stupidly high price so I was really pleased that Light Water Valley hasn't gone down this route. All in all it's a great place to take younger children and you won't have to spend most of the day queuing for rides. We never waited more than a few minutes for a ride and it was a busy Saturday during the summer holidays.
