Lightwoods Park and House is a community building which is available for private hire. The Shakespeare Garden is at the rear of the building and is also available for hire. "1000 Trades" bar and restaurant is within the building on the bottom floor, which is a separate business.
Lightwoods is a fairly small, featureless and boring inner city park. However, it used to have a superb play area which was worth the car journey to bring the children too. All that has now changed, the climbing frame has had the anti fun treatment, half the swings have been removed and it's nothing more than a place for adults to sit down drinking coffee whilst watching their toddlers. It's been ruined for children aged over 5 and under 15.
Thank you to all the team at Lightwoods Park for making my daughter's birthday amazing. From the booking through to the day it's been very easy to book and the communication between me and lightwoods have been great. The gardens are magical and really beautiful . I and all our guests had a memorable beautiful day I would definitely recommend the marquee was stunning. The bathrooms were all easily accessible clean and the team were on hand to help with any requests Thank you to Anna, Laura and team
This park offers something for everyone! Skateboarders showcase their skills at the dynamic skate park, while basketball enthusiasts shoot hoops on the courts. Tennis players engage in friendly matches, and children frolic in the vibrant play area. With its diverse amenities and vibrant atmosphere, this park is a hub of active recreation and community bonding.
Very low key with lots of families around. The Shakespeare Garden is whimsical, yet calming. Nice place to walk.
Beautifully kept park, first time visiting for a Digbeth Dining Club event. Didn't visit the house but plenty to keep us busy, nice modern play area and clean and tidy grounds explore. Parking might be difficult, we parked near the house and found many cars had received a parking fine when we returned to our car to leave.
the park itself is well maintained & large enough to enjoy a healthy walk or simply to relax plus an area for children to play . lights wood house itself is a very pleasant feature just on the edge of the park itself .
