Lilford Park is a 19th-century country house situated in Northamptonshire, England. The estate features a stunning Victorian-era mansion surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, woodlands, and a large lake. The house boasts an impressive collection of art and antiques, including works by renowned artists such as Gainsborough and Reynolds. The park itself offers scenic walking trails, a children's play area, and picnic spots, making it an ideal destination for families and nature lovers alike.
Lilford Park is a great place to visit...great for walking dogs aswell. Very spacious...Has a park for kids to play on, outside tap for the dogs to get watered, a defibrillator near the children's park. Plenty of different pathways, a remembrance garden for local folk who died with Covid, beautiful. There are the woods to walk through, with an array of different trees, Holly, Red bark, Silverbirch... I went with my family including grandchildren, we spent hours here, we took snacks and drinks, and carrier bags for our rubbish...and the parking was free...10/10
Lovely place to take your dog for a walk. Nice play ground for the children. A walk into Lilford woods the paths are much easier to get around without tripping up.They have done lots of work and it looks lovely.
I've not been to Lilford park for many years, but I had a lovely day. The grounds are well maintained. I loved the reflections area when you can sit and have a quiet moment thinking about those who sadly left us during COVID. Going back to the park brought back happy memories from my youth when I was a Leigh Harrier and we ran here on Sunday's through the woods for cross country training and did a few cross country races here that out club hosted.
Nice park to bring your kids with lots of activities for them to play on. There aretwo little football pitches and a basket ball net. Then there's the woods and decent walk if you want to bring your dogs.
One of my favourite places to go to. I always keep my eyes open to photograph nice mushrooms. I am lucky to have this place only couple of minutes away from where I live. The kids loves the big area to run around or play in the playground. A lots of people chooses this place to walk their dogs too.
It's really one of the highlights of any visit to the Leigh area. Full of wildlife, nice landscape with some small hills. Great for visiting on a bike or walking. So many paths to explore!
