Definitely one for the enthusiasts and situated on a camping site (Skegness Water Leisure Park). This single line railway is run by volunteers and has been well maintained. The older gentlemen running the site were very helpful and great with families. Letting my kids take part, setting onto the engine and having a go blowing the train whistle. The train ride cost PS5 for a family of 4 and was around 15-20mins going past the airfield next to it. All in all it was a pleasant experience to have with anyone with young kids.
We visited the railway two times on holiday on the Monday (diesel)and the Wednesday (steam) I really enjoyed this railway the volunteers are so kind and on quiet days may let your little ones wave the flag I also got to do some tones in the diesel (wilton) A Must visit when open as the team of volunteers as so great they tell you all about the locos and stock Very much a must go to you can also go in the shed. Thank you for making are railway diesel and steam experience GREAT!
Lovely experience. Not long to wait and plenty to read about in the little exhibition. |Dog friendly.
Very happy accommodating and friendly staff, they were a joy and full of information about their little engines and trains in general! You can also see that the attraction is being built on so support these guys! If you've got a train enthusiast in your party, it's 1000% worth the short walk from the Butlins resort (drivable and taxi also I would imagine!) REMEMBER CASH ONLY
