This heritage railway runs 16 miles through the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside, offering a nostalgic journey on vintage trains. The railway passes through the gentle hills and valleys of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
The staff are cheerful and friendly. The actual venue is what it is, a very short ride with little at the other end in North Thoresby. Our plan was to visit the nearby pub in North Thoresby for a pleasant drink before the return journey. Unfortunately this pub stopped trading at the end of July, so we're thwarted with this plan (Just in case anyone else gets the same idea).
Lovely railway and the staff / Volunteers are very friendly and helpful and make your day that extra special.
My family absolutely loved it, definitely worth a trip, even if your not that big on trains, nothing beats a steam train.
Beautiful little step back in time. Train ride isn't very long to the next stop and back (15 mins or so) but it's a wonderful experience and would do it again.
Just in case you thought of taking the train to North Thoresby to visit the New Inn Pub it's shut it closed down in July 2024. We found out yesterday
Nice new car park to service the railway

Wheelchair-accessible car park
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
