This ancient woodland, covering approximately 90 hectares, features a mix of coniferous and deciduous trees, including oak, beech, and birch, with some specimens dating back over 1,000 years. A network of walking trails and pathways allows visitors to explore the woods, discovering hidden clearings, scenic vistas, and historic features such as ancient boundary banks and a medieval fishpond. The woodland floor is carpeted with a vibrant display of wildflowers, including bluebells, wood anemones, and primroses, which attract a variety of wildlife, including birds, insects, and small mammals.
