Boating lake and cafe, tennis and bowls, botanical gardens, art gallery and Islamic water gardens.
This park is a beautiful park managed by the Bradford Council. The landscape is amazing. I was surprised to learn of the fossils in the park, and I liked the way they presented each piece in a playful way for the kids to enjoy. There is a lovely pond with waterfalls. The ducks in this pond are some of the largest I have seen anywhere . It is a lovely place for a run, a little less than 2km. I enjoyed running around the pond but had to play hopscotch around the ducks. I didn't use the cafe or boat rides, they weren't working at the time. I loved the grand entrance to the park and the statues. Definitely one to see. Lovely place for a day out with/without kids.
Great place to spend a few hours and take a leisure walk around the gardens and explore the fountains or visit the lake for a bite to eat and a ride in the boats and feed the ducks a visit to the botanical garden or the tennis court the house was closed when I was there but would love to return
Excellent for family, lots of things to see and swings/ play area for kids. Birds are abundant and nature feels great..
I was taken by surprise by this stunning park and gardens. Beautiful grounds to walk round, Cartwright Hall, water fountain garden, lake, fossils. waterfalls and so much more to enjoy. Perfect place to take the littlies for a day out with a fantastic park. Tearoom for refreshments, wheelchair friendly, dog friendly, and free parking. Events are held in the park, so keep a look out
Lovely park for a day out with the kids, lots to do and see, funfairs also great when they come.... But when no funfair is on still a fab day out with boat rides and duck feed, cafes and picnic areas, ducks and swans, and lovely areas to walk and amazing flower displays. The actual play ground is amazing for all ages including children with SEN needs too 100% recommend for a fun filled family day out
The sculpture of the Roman goddess Diana has been replaced with an art object. The fountains are clean, a pleasant place. Regarding the children's playground, some minor repairs could be done. The swing was broken while we were there; some of the rides needed maintenance.
