We're a small, friendly campsite and airigh on Caithness' beautiful north coast, just off the popular NC500 route. Visit our working croft for a peaceful rural stay, with views of Dunnet Head and the Orkneys.
We had a 3 night stay in our tent at the camp site in June and absolutely loved it. We could have stayed on for longer as so much to explore in the area. Christian and Vicky were amazing hosts, warm and welcoming and have created the perfect place to stay. The facilities were spotless. The animals were hilarious, especially the turkeys Definitely one of our favourite campsites we've ever stayed at and hoping to visit again. Loved it.
I absolutely loved this campsite and would go back to stay in an instant. The views are beautiful and as it's a small campsite it feels very peaceful and calm, the perfect place to unwind and have as a base while exploring the area. I'd highly recommend staying for a couple nights, there is so much to do in the area you couldn't fit it in in one day. I'd booked two nights originally then went back a couple days later for another two! Thank you Christian and Vicky, hopefully see you again soon :)
Amazing welcoming little campsite. The host was super friendly. You can tell that they put a lot of care in the place. The facilities were very clean and accessible via a cozy common room with music and a sofa. You can even buy some of the eggs produced by their hens and ducks. If you are an animal lover, it's a plus to have a lot of farm animals around. Absolutely recommended.
We loved our night here. The pitch was ample sized and flat, so there was no need for chocks. It was quiet. We loved the communal area, and I imagine that it would prove a very welcome space on a rainy afternoon. There is only one shower, but due to it being a small campsite, we had no wait to use it and what a lovely shower it was. It felt like you were showering at a friend's house, with the fluffy carpet and proper little bathroom. There is a lovely little kitchen area inside, which is warm and has fresh eggs for sale. The sea is a short walk away and I enjoyed a swim, as the water was like a millpond .
This is a really great little campsite. Christian and Vicky are so welcoming and helpful and the facilities were lovely and clean and had everything you need. We loved seeing all the animals, pigs, goats, ducks and chickens.
Very sociable hosts. Christian and Vicky made a point of meeting and greeting. Pitch was excellent (we did not need the power) and facilities were spotless. A great tenting spot too, with wash up room and kettle. Lots of lovely animals for the kids and a 1955 Ferguson tractor!!
Good for kids
