This 13-acre reserve is a haven for wildlife, featuring a variety of habitats including woodland, grassland, and wetland. A network of footpaths and boardwalks allows visitors to explore the reserve, spotting birds, insects, and small mammals. The reserve is particularly notable for its population of rare and endangered species, including the great crested newt and the tansy beetle. The site also boasts a variety of plant life, with over 200 species of flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Not a lot to see here. Unfortunately the area is used by flytippers and the route is littered with all sorts of left over waste and rubbish. Once you've walked past all that it's not too bad, however there are much nicer areas around other parts of Sitttingbourne. I would bypass this area completely if possible and head straight for the Saxon Shore Way which leads to Conyer, Oare and onto Faversham and beyond which is a very nice walk and well worth a visit.
Really nice place for wild camping, I love the little natural swimming pool with cristal clear water, it isn't in the actual big pond it is right beside it, in a narrow water lane
Good for walks and a nice lake for feeding duckd
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
