Wonderful walled garden so peaceful as is the whole village. Plenty of busy bees and butterflies. We also heard a Tawny Owl calling. Great selection of plants & veg. The cafe was much bigger than expected with indoor sofas. Outside there are tables and umbrellas. The cafe has a toilet They have a really nice selection of cakes and scones, jam & cream. Make sure you visit the lake & the church. There is parking just outside the wall garden but most people park on the grass on the top road and walk around the village. The garden and cafe is only open Wednesday and Sunday afternoon 2-5 . It will close 15th September as end of season. The whole valley is up for sale 35m Do not delay if you'd like to visit this special place
Lovely place to visit. Not the biggest but full of interest. Very friendly staff in the cafe. Lovely tea's and cakes too. Just up the road there is a small lake with a waterfall and picnic area. Note: the car park actually by the walled garden fills up very quickly. Better to park on the grass at the top of the lane.
A beautiful garden with a great range of plants. A lovely meandering walk around the paths to appreciate it all. Then a walk to the lake and waterfall, before heading back to the gardens for a cream tea out on the terrace in glorious sunshine. A great afternoon.
An excellent adventure in horticultural delight
This is a lovely community inspired garden 'rescued' from former neglect and with beautiful planting. The close car parking, friendly volunteers and lovely home baked scones for cream teas just adds the crowning glory. There are plant sales at very reasonable prices.
The most amazing thing about this place is that I have been visiting Little Bredy all my life and I had never visted this little gem. Lovely people, very friendly and helpful and real cakes. Well done!
