Museum exhibiting many items related to the town's past, from prehistoric times to the present day.
Very good local museum on two floors, telling the story of the life of Llangollen and area. History, culture, notable people and more. Nice collection of vintage postcards. A small art gallery is upstairs.
A useful little place. Staff are lovely. They sell a few different maps and guides. Good place to pop in to get some background on the area before deciding what to do. There is a long stay car park nearby which was only PS3.50 for all day.
What a little gem of a place. Loads to see and do in this little museum and all for free. My personal favourite is the section on Valle crucis abbey and Eliseg piller but there are lots of different displays from various periods in history. The lady and gentleman who were running the museum were extremely helpful and informative. There is a little shop that sells books and small gifts which are reasonably priced. A brilliant and informative way to spend an hour.
