What a great holidayhome the llangollen historic railway provides. Directly from your house onto the platform into the train, exploring a great route in the river dee valley. We met so many warm, loyal, and passionate volunteers keeping this line alive and felt welcome and a part of this almost fairytale family.
A beautiful classic GWR station situated on the Llangollen railway. Although one of the shorter railways in the UK it has a charm unlike most in the UK. The staff were all friendly and talkative and the food and drink were excellent. The railway has many events throughout the year and is great for a family day out. I'd highly recommend visiting if looking for something interesting to do
One of the best heritage railways in the UK! A trip on the railway is always a fab day out, and I would highly recommend the tea rooms at Berwyn Station (especially the homemade Bara Brith) and the local railway museum in Corwen.
Nice little station. No parking Little tea room, serves tea and coffee and a small selection of soft drinks and cakes. No sugar-free cans, sadly.
Had an AMAZING stay at the Berwyn station masters house. It was lovely, with beautiful views and easy access to a train to get you into the busy town of Llangollen.
