Llanover House is a 15th-century fortified manor house located in Llanover, Monmouthshire, Wales. The house features a mix of medieval and Tudor architectural styles, with a rectangular shape and four towers, one at each corner. The exterior walls are constructed from local red sandstone, with a gatehouse that serves as the main entrance. The interior boasts ornate wood paneling, decorative plasterwork, and grand fireplaces. The house is surrounded by a moat, which is now dry, and features a charming courtyard garden. Llanover House has been well-preserved and is now a private residence, but it is occasionally open to the public for guided tours.
Absolutely stunning garden, went on the 2nd September, it was Blooming lovely! Such a large garden to wander round over gorgeous little stone slab bridges, the dovecote garden was particularly beautiful and there was also tea and delicious homemade cakes available . Will definitely go again next year, and all proceeds go to charity.
Lovely gardens. Never knew about them, despite passing by for many years. Only open to the public a few times a year. We would have liked to have coffee and cakes, but the flys and wasps landing on them put us right off.
Lovely Gardens, it is very picturesque and very expansive . There is a small lake and a stream running through, gorgeous, looking house and a massive walled garden at the bottom end where vegetables are grown. Lovely setting- check for the next date when it's open to the public
We visited this lovely gardens on one of their rare opens days. The next one is in July. The gardens are a splendid little gem hidden in the Usk Valley. A must visit. Would go again.
Visited as was open for National Garden Scheme. Beautiful grounds, much of which can be publicly accessed because of walking right of way. Lovely teas On bus route X3 out of Abergavenny Town, local parking in village. Also well patronised local tea shop in village if visiting on non-event days.
Regularly attend the open gardens. Friendly welcome to a beautiful place
