A massive stone-built dam situated in the Snowdonia National Park, northwest Wales, standing 44 meters tall and 357 meters long, impounding the waters of the River Vyrnwy to create a large artificial lake, Llyn Vyrnwy, surrounded by picturesque countryside and rolling hills, offering scenic views, walking trails, and opportunities for birdwatching and fishing.

Lovely dam and views. It took about an hour to walk around and then we stopped for an ice cream and saw a lovely bird hide just next to the cafe.

There are plenty of things to do things to do in the area. There are so many instagramable sites. The dam is great to drive over, and you can drive the whole way around the reservoir. Parking can be a bit difficult when it gets busy.
