Large public park with trails & playgrounds, plus attractions such as a mini-train ride & aquarium.
The food festival was amazing. I have been to quite a few food festivals, and my biggest gripe is, there are food stalls from around the world, but they all have UK people cooking. Here the Greek food was cooked by Greeks. Thai food cooked by Thais. ETC. Plenty of toilets. A stand pipe to refill your water bottle. Great bands and stalls.
Start location for a 13 mile sponsored walk, organised (wonderfully well) by Macmillan cancer support, along the incredible and (literally) breathtaking Jurassic Coast. Nearly 1000 took part in this incredible event, one of many Mighty Hikes arranged across the UK. A very special day indeed.
We love Lodmoor great for walking the dogs, Equally my kids loved the playground when they were younger. we all have had a go on the outdoor gym. The train is great for kids and the golf is a laugh.
I really enjoyed coming here, so many different types of birds to see, don't forget to bring your binoculars!! The paths are pretty good for walking around and lots of bins, there was hardly any mess or rubbish laying around! There is a free gym that the public can use and It was nice to see It being used too! It has great parking near by and very easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs too. Public toilets are also in the carpark so very close! Will definitely be coming back here!
Stay at the Premier Inn, Brewers Fare for food and drink and all the amusements on the doorstep. Easy hour walk along the sea front to town to shops and pubs.
Lovely green space, on the coast. Lots to do in the park, including a very pleasant pitch and putt. It was lovely to be at the 500th parkrun too!
