A rugged and windswept granite outcrop, Longaford Tor rises dramatically from the moorland, its weathered summit offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside. The tor's unique shape, formed by centuries of erosion, is characterized by a series of rounded peaks and valleys, with the highest point reaching an elevation of 1,552 feet. On a clear day, the vista stretches as far as the Welsh mountains to the west and the English Channel to the south.
Decent views to be had, but no shops, cafes or burger vans up here. Could be improved by arcades and a giant ferris wheel like wot Plymouth has. Beautiful views across the valley created by the West Dart river towards Devil's Tor, Flat Tor and Rough Tor. Although, at the time of writing, the latter only has a 4.5 rating, so I don't suppose anyone will ever visit there again, considering the abundance of 5-star rated tors to be found. Truly a torrefic tor.
A pleasant walk with great views over the valley
A large pyramid tor that has extra splendid views!
Great views.
