Family attraction with farm animals, a trampoline barn, soft play area, produce shop and tearoom.
Lovely and local farm with hands on and up close experiences. A great animal daily schedule, and all-inclusive play area, even with trampolines. It was a perfect midweek trip for us new parents and for toddlers too, but likely you would spend even more time there with older kids! Parents will enjoy the good parking, bottle feeding fun and the local produce farm shop. It has a very buggy, pram, stroller friendly pathways and routes! And lots of benches and seating areas .. and wet weather covering! And ride on toys here and there for children. It was quite pricey (but good rates competitive to other farms) for just the 3 hours we spent there as a family, the toilets were OK, and this time no eggs to collect and too wet for a tractor ride. Heather gave us the most warm and friendly welcome which just set us up for a good visit. We would recommend. Children love animals.
A really nice experience. My only disappointment was the digger experience. It's one of the experiences that you have to pay extra for. But it involves some kind of electronic payment method, which I can't do, so my poor grandson had to miss out.
Took our 4 year old niece. Plenty of parking. Friendly welcome Niece fed goats and calves. Held baby chicks and gerbils. We saw baby piglets which were so cute. There was mini golf, play area with trampolines and mini diggers. She had a great time. On site food plentiful My only complaint is the run down and dirty look of some of areas animals are kept. Didn't like the goats on show that was due to give birth. Saw her release the afterbirth. Just felt it was very intrusive and surely these animals deserve to give birth in peace without hoarded of people staring at them and kids screaming. I had to walk away from it all. The ducks water was filthy. One rabbit didn't have any water. Distinctive lack of staff to ensure the safety of the animals who you could get up close and personal too. I really feel it is inappropriate to leave these animals to the mercy of the visitors. Lots of hand washing stations and sanitizer. Overall niece loved it especially feeding the goats but needs more safety precautions out in place to look after animals. A clean up and staff checking on animals more. Wouldn't return
LONG REVIEW BUT USEFUL INFORMATION It was such a lovely day and so nostalgic for me, i hadn't been here for 25yrs, since I was a child and it was so nice to be able to relax, spending time with animals, taking part in bottle feeding, handling animals, and learning new things. The calfs were particularly funny as they were rather greedy slurping on their bottles. We took our own drinks, but called in to the tea room for a snack, I had a sausage roll, my partner had a cheese & pickle roll, both of which were tasty, well made, and to be honest, of good quality too. The total we spent on food was PS7.50 as we added pringles as well. Please see photos for food and cute animals. We visited Monday, 24th June 2024, arrived at 10.30am, we booked online before hand (but we didnt really need to as there was no queue, but i would advise it in the holidays) we had no wait to get in, and it wasn't particularly busy, a couple of small school groups. Plenty of handwashing stations, animals looked clean and happy. After all, it's a farm, not a 5-star hotel, so you expect a bit of a mess, ie poop etc. All animals looked clean and well fed, I don't understand a lot of negative comments about this place. Would recommend to friends with young children. Staff kind, polite, and chatty.
Decent day outdoor at this nice family-run farm. The place is not huge which is why I will not give it five stars. However, staff are friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. For a family with animal loving children, it is an ideal place as they will be able to interact with all farm animals.
12.50 per person (over three years old, plus there are family tickets) is an absolute steal for the amount of things you get to do at the farm, feed and cuddle with calves, chicks, chickens, ducks, pigs, baby goats and big goats. And that's just during Easter Time, there's special things like piglets at Halloween We had a blast with two adults and two kids (11 and 6 years old), there are go karts for tiny kids all the way to adults and a really big playground with zip lines and trampolines for all ages as well. There is also mini golf and small diggers that you can pay extra to play, they usually do tractor rides included in the ticket price but it was too wet to go out. We still had a fantastic time.
