A tranquil oasis in Hampshire, Longstock Park Water Gardens is a 12-acre haven of beauty, featuring a stunning collection of water lilies, lotus flowers, and other aquatic plants. Meandering paths and walkways guide visitors through the gardens, which are surrounded by mature trees and picturesque lakes. The gardens are also home to a variety of wildlife, including fish, birds, and insects, adding to the serene atmosphere. Visitors can explore the gardens at their own pace, taking in the vibrant colors and sweet fragrances of the blooming flowers, or relax on one of the many benches and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Lovely water garden. We started off in the tearoom first, which is owned by John Lewis as this was his estate. After our beverage, we then walked to the Water Gardens through the estate, which was very pleasant. We had a walk around the lakes, looking at the flowers, crossing bridges to get across the Gardens. We were there over an hour, then back to the tearoom for lunch. It was very busy and had to wait for our food, but we didn't mind. It was a very enjoyable day out. We will be back.
There is plenty of free parking just on the other side of the road to the garden entrance and the disabled parking is located next to the car park exit. The entrance charge to the garden is PS7 but is well worth it as the gardens are spectacular and a riot of colour. The water gardens have lots of small islands and bridges to get to them and this makes the whole experience much more interesting. My only comment is that there needs to be more places to sit down and rest.
These gardens are wonderful and so peaceful. We had exclusive access so might get busier but they are so well maintained! If you can visit it is well worth it.
Nice gardens with a variety of flora and some pleasant little waterways but very small for the price.
Lovely peaceful gardens but at PS10 per person entry fee, it is a rip off .... They should be ashamed of themselves for charging so much for so little.
Lovely place to visit for a couple of hours , my visit was in September so just holding on to summer .
