A picturesque sandy beach with rock pools and a medieval harbour, surrounded by rugged cliffs and scenic coastal walks, offering calm and clear turquoise waters perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking, with a charming seaside town nearby featuring quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants serving fresh seafood.
One of my all-time favourite beaches. Very busy but lovely atmosphere once we'd settled. Very hungry and aggressive seagulls as soon as there was any food on the go, they were out in their droves. But, if you know how to keep them at bay, they weren't a bother. Great beach for paddle boarding newbies and swimmers alike.
This is one of our best day out town. Lots of nice shops around, amazing pasty shop, and also fish and chips. I personally enjoy playing a few games in arcade as well. Beautiful sea. The only downside is that the parking is a bit pain and it gets really busy during the summer time. You literally need to avoid hitting other's shoulder at some point. Anyway, highly recommended fishing town with lovely vives.
A beautiful beach, although not very big. No parking nearby, you have to walk through the town for access. Nearest car park is the town centre which is very small and gets full quickly, head for Millpool car park for more spaces- PL13 2AH. Cafes and shops nearby though. Toilets next to the beach . Benches available. No dogs allowed on the beach, at any time of the year. However, if you walk to the left of the beach, facing the sea, when the tide is out there's a rocky beach there that they're allowed on, they just can't go on the main sandy beach. Being small, this beach gets extremely busy at the weekends during peak periods. Perfect for sand castles !
A very nice little beach and busy and clean, some local food outlets and a kayak and boat hire on the beach PS15 for 30 mins which is more than enough for a nice little paddle out. no dogs allowed unfortunately but there is another little beach just passed the end of the rocks a bit stoney but the dog loved it and a lot quieter
One of the very best beaches in the UK for certain. The parking soon fills up nearby, but the land train from millpool car park is excellent value for money and leaves every 40 min between 11 and 4. Lots of interesting little shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely soft sand within a safe harbour. Love it here.
I love this beach! Not only for the beauty of the scenery but also the calm the enjoyment, the rock pools, the pier, the harbour the shops. It's my favourite place on earth
