A medieval fortified manor house with a 14th-century tower, surrounded by a moat and featuring a picturesque courtyard, ornate stone carvings, and stunning architectural details, showcasing a unique blend of medieval and Tudor styles.
Travel down onto the valley to visit this National Trust house. The house has many rooms to explore. The trust volunteers are friendly and informative. You can go for a country walk through the valley from here. Has a cafe with sandwiches and sausage rolls. Worth a visit.
First visit to the estate and loved it. We done the long walk and boggy was an understatement! We had our boots sucked into the mud. It was fantastic!!! The walk was extremely well signposted and we had a great few hours. My boots are still during out! Beautiful scenery even in the fog. Loved the house too; beautifully decorated with Christmas themed rooms. I'd forgotten it would be decorated but it was lovely. All in all an excellent visit!
A fascinating and beautiful place to visit for all ages. Lots to see and do. All of the staff and volunteers were unfailingly friendly and helpful. Even in the small additional car park in the grounds, the toilets were immaculately maintained.
I really enjoyed my visit to Brockhampton. As soon as you walk up the path towards the house, it stands out like a picture of beauty. It's old and interesting. It's like time travel traveling through different ages. I particularly liked the 1910 kitchen but all rooms were lovely. Also make sure you visit the chapel ruin too
Beautiful old house of family proportions from the 1600s. Lots of old large beams, small leaded windows and nice chimneys surrounded by a moat which is crossed by a fabulous house bridge. Courtyard of old buildings with picnic tables and toilets nearby. The drive down to the car park is spectacular.
