Lovely small museum. Plenty of exhibits to see . Short videos explaing the History of the Herring fishing in Lowestoft. Also there were 3 very knowledgeable gentlemen to answer questions.

Whether you are interested in our maritime fishing history or not there is so much more packed in to this small museum. They have Whittles hovercraft workshop, local trawling history through to later wind farm production. We spent about an hour and a half wandering around, the staff were very engaging and gave us a great overview of what to see in the museum. Cheap as chips to enter, Free parking on the road and a good restaurant/cafe in the park just behind.

What an amazing treasure of a place. So much to see, read and experience. Fascinating facts and personal accounts from through the ages. A great insight into the history of Lowestoft and the fishing and maritime trades in the area. We were there for over an hour, 4 adults and a student for PS8.50. We would definitely go back. The volunteer staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
