Fabulous free museum with excellent exhibitions and displays about life in the local area and how steeped in history this part of the Broads are. Well worth a visit if you're in the area - friendly staff as well who are happy to have a chat about anything! Dog friendly museum as well!
Completely free museum, you can make a donation at the end if you feel inclined. Lots of interesting information about lowestoft and surrounding areas. Lots to look at. There's videos you can watch. It's only a small place but it's a good way to spend half an hour if you're in the area, it's located in Nicholas Everett park, which is also lovely to go around before or after.
Lovely little museum, worth supporting by donating. Lots of artefacts to see. Good information about local area and the artefacts. Some hands on stuff for children (and adults). Lovely little space upstairs with some books to look at.
This museum is quite interesting and has plenty of exhibits, but it seems quite disjointed in places, and although each display is labelled, the wider context isn't explained we just know it's things related to lowestoft. The staff were super friendly.
We had an amazing experience here today. Great hospitality shown by Brian and Bert who really went the extra mile to ensure we didn't miss anything. Well worth a visit. Thanks so much
