Lumsdale Waterfall is a picturesque waterfall located in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, England. The waterfall drops approximately 10 meters down a rocky slope, surrounded by lush greenery and moss-covered stones. The water flows from a small stream that originates from the nearby hills, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The waterfall is surrounded by a scenic walking trail, offering visitors a chance to explore the surrounding countryside and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the falls.
Parking nearby was hard, but eventually found a spot. Started from below as always prefer to do the hard bit first. Even though there hadn't been a lot of rain, the flow was quite reasonable. Not crowded but a few people with the same idea. The falls are quite good, but added to the walk was the two pools above with good mirror images. If you have an os map with you or on your phone there is a good circular walk up in the woods, bringing you back to the track on the lower pool. You would need to be fairly agile though, we struggled but it was worth it. Never saw another person in the woods. Even if you only do the falls, it's worth a visit.
Amazing free waterfall experience. Took 4 children (8-11) who all claimed it with ease even a dog loved it! Deffo see the broken Dam at the beginning and go all the way to the end. We had to park around the school which was a 3 minute walk. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely beautiful waterfall, easy to get to and anyone can do it. Some steps but easy with hand rails on the side of them. Some parking but just overall beautiful place. Little pub down the road as well. 10/10 recommend
Great little place to visit, off the beaten track. We only visited by chance as driving past. No parking available, so on road parking is a must. Only a 2min walk from the dirt track/road through some houses. The actual waterfall is blocked off so you can only view it from the top.
Great little find parking for a few cars on the side of the country lane or a 40 minute walk from Matlock. Beautiful waterfall with a few viewing spots. Interesting old mill building ruins dotted around. Highly recommend popping into the Bentley brew company for a warm welcome cuppa and cookie pie.
Absolutely STUNNING!!! Fantastic little hike! great places for some IG pics too just respect the area, please. When I went, there were foreign exchange students acting the fool and throwing things into the falls... not acceptable! This is why nice things are taken away when people in general don't respect the natural beauties the UK has to offer. 100% would recommend
Wheelchair-accessible car park
