This medieval stone bridge spans the River Wye, its five arches reflected in the calm water below. Built in the 13th century, it features a pointed arch design, with each arch slightly smaller than the last, creating a sense of rhythm as they cross the river. The bridge's stone walls are weathered to a soft brown, with moss and lichen clinging to the stonework. The bridge's historic significance is matched by its picturesque beauty, making it a popular spot for photographers and those seeking a tranquil atmosphere.
Beautiful little waterfall on a bridge near the beginning of a long scenic trek to Avon Dam. Great place for photography, and connecting with nature.
A beautiful landmark, with the view seen here and lots of places to go walking near by. There is an excellent village pub around the corner to recharge your batteries too
Really liked the view from the bridge Have walked close by but never seen this bridge before. We did a circular walk from the town along the river and then back along the road.
Very pretty area, with good walk nearby
A spectacular spate river, the Devon river Avon rushes down under Lydia bridge which offers great views in both directions. Well worth a visit especially during heavy rainfall. The river levels drop quickly though as it is a relatively short distance to the sea.
There's no salmon today ... one day, maybe.
