This park features a mix of woodland, heathland, and grassland, with scenic views of the surrounding countryside. A network of trails, including the 13-mile Lyme Regis to Axminster section of the East Devon Way, crisscross the park, offering opportunities for walking, cycling, and horse riding. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, and birds, and features several ponds and a stream. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, flying a kite, or simply relaxing in the peaceful surroundings.
We went at night as there was an owl outpost. View from. The top of the hill was pretty with the lights however very disappointed that there were no actual paths just waterlogged grass, and at the entrance where we parked there was a massive boulder placed right in front of the gate as if someone was trying to keep people from actually walking there. My dog struggled to get past it as the gap on either side was only six inches and he's a giant breed and elderly so couldn't jump the three foot boulder. Would be lovely if it was better maintained.
Lovely place to walk, if not a bit muddy at this time of year.
