Pushchair, pram,wheelchair friendly walks. Small sandy beaches next to the lakes. Took the mini Dachshund was a great 3 hours.
Nice walk in the woods looking at the trees. Not too crowded. Dog friendly although not many poop drop boxes. There is a creek your furry friend may want to go in as well. Lots of variety in trees . There is a coffee and hot chocolate cart at the entrance/exit with yummy hot chocolate
Beautiful arboretum with some interesting and rare species, seems to be popular with birders too. Lots of lovely walks, one with a lake with a large sandy beach. The little cafe is nice and has toilet facilities. Free parking and no entry fee. Dogs are welcome under control.
We found this lake only a few weeks ago and we were amazed at the family friendly atmosphere and potential for endless fun "beech" days it's definitely worthwhile visiting if you're in the area and the woodland walks nearby are great too!
