Magic Alley is a spellbinding attraction and magical emporium in Stratford upon Avon. Magic Alley is packed to the rafters with books, toys, dragons, crystal balls, spells, magic tricks, historic art prints and magical objects and curios you never knew you needed - perfect to find that unique gift for someone special or to treat yourself Please note we are not affiliated with Harry Potter and do not hold much Harry Potter stock. Photos added recently are not our shop. We love all things magical but we are not connected to Harry Potter in any way. We do not have a cafe but do serve some refreshments
Just had a quick look inside from Bell Court. Up the stairs and the shop on the first floor. First aware of it coming to Stratford-upon-Avon back in 2018. They may have initially been on Henley Street? Have passed it on Bell Court a few times since it opened, but not got around to popping in before now. I think the museum bit you have to pay for. Maybe on a future visit. This was just to have a quick look inside before I continued my walk.
My partne rand I visited this amazing place yesterday. The quest was tremendous fun and my partner decided he would dress-up to walk around The puzzles were head scratchers, some were quite hard. The props for each room are awesome and the effects are simply perfect.
What a fabulous place !!! It was easy to book online and each time slot is for you and only you which is great. Each room is themed, the questions and riddles were brilliant and the booklet that you work through is excellent which you get to keep. Our girls aged 11 and 13 worked well together working things out and writing down the answers (I don't want to give anything away!). We got round in about an hour and a half but spent a good half hour in the shop taking in the atmosphere and chatting to the staff, who were hilarious and extremely friendly. An absolute amazing way to spend a couple of hours. The price is well worth the experience in my opinion
Great location, lots of cool stuff to buy, and really friendly staff! I'm from Canada, and I always love visiting magical shops in other countries! <3
Dragons, unicorns, dinosaurs, fairies - you get the picture! The shop part is full of fascinating items like crystal balls, books, skulls, runes, dragons, witches brooms etc. And classical music in the background - yes! Then the other part has lots of puzzles suitable for most age groups, though young children will need adult support to unravel some of the trickier ones. All this through various scenes of fantasy models, aided by the guidance of a helpful fairy/witch called Elodie.
This emporium/attraction is a real gem of Stratford-upon-Avon! A really interesting place to spend some time and some money. The staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was so nice to be able to browse without feeling obliged to buy or being made to feel like we were in the way (not every place can say this!!!) If you're into the weird and wonderful, this is the place for you! If you're not, this is the place for you!! Go look anyway! ps... Thank you for the little conversation we had with the owner from the two like minded people! HAIL
