This 100-acre park features a stunning mix of woodland, grassland, and wetland habitats, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. A scenic lake at the park's center is home to a variety of waterfowl, while walking trails and hides offer opportunities to spot local wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and insects. The park's diverse landscape is also dotted with picnic areas, a children's play area, and a visitor center with educational exhibits and a café.
Lovely quiet place for enjoying a walk round the nature. There were ducks on the pond, birds in the trees, no traffic noise. The car park was easily accessible, the playground was open but the gym equipment was locked up. At this time of year, make sure you wear your wellington boots, some areas are very boggy.
There is a good playground for small children, a large field and a basketball court. The it runs into a wooded area, there are a couple of ponds which looks like someone has introduced goldfish and ghost carp. It was a bit muddy on some of the paths, that's to be expected after the weather we have had. There is a good size carpark too.
Lovely local park well maintained by Colin the park warden. Great for young and old. Walk the pooch, feed the ducks, or just enjoy the bird song in the nature reserve. If you're very lucky, a deer will cross your path.
A nice place to spend a couple hours but like most public places at the moment a distinct lake of maintenance
Lovely place. We go here to walk dogs. Lovely place for keen photographers and would be good to take your children as there is a playground outside. Would recommend.
