Considerably less crowded than Catbells and another Wainwright to tick off your list. Maiden More has great views and more than anything it is a beautiful hike even on a rain lashed day like I had. Stunning area!
After the crowds on Catbells, it is great to get out onto Maiden Moor and experience some solitude. Once again there is a false summit and the actual top is poorly marked. It doesn't detract from the wonderful views possible from here, and it is another Wainwright to tick off the list!!!
This climb is another wainwright, has lovely scenery and has some interesting bogs. Good views at the top depending on weather.
