Lovely spot. Doggy had a great time! Decent parking.
Hard standing car park for plenty of cars, no public toilets, there is a small picnic area and when I visited there was a small van selling coffee , teas and cakes. Great area to explore a variety of paths in the area, especially the old railway path. Some of the paths are suitable for all abilities including those in a wheelchair.
1st time to Malton Picnic Area and it's so lovely. Got there around 6pm on a Wednesday and, despite Google saying it was a busy time, got very easily parked - lots of spaces and wasn't busy at all. The old train line track is wonderful and the countryside and scenery is beautiful. Highly recommended for dog walking, walking generally, running, cyclists and just having a picnic! :-)
It's a great place to park and then walk by the River Browney, or up on to the ridges each side of the valley along the railway track, cycle for more than 20 miles each way off road
Very busy at times. Wish some people would put dogs on a leader..especially when they see mine on hers!. Lovely place though
Great place for a picnic. Lovely stream that's perfect for the kids to play in. Ample parking
