Through our exhibitions and events, we offer extraordinary encounters with brilliant art.
One of my very few stops during a quick train layover in Manchester. But definitely worth it! Easy to get around and see many of the exhibits within a couple of hours. I love the variety of art in this museum and I especially loved the exhibit upstairs about the history of hot beverages. Really brought to life the way hot drinks from around the world impacted life in Britain
The gallery itself is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to navigate and enjoy the displays at a leisurely pace. The interactive elements and informative plaques added an educational dimension to the visit, making it both enjoyable and enlightening. The fact that entry is free of cost is incredible, making this rich cultural experience accessible to everyone.
Great place with exquisite exhibits! The size of the place is also just right--not too big and not too small. Had a good time looking around the paintings here. Free admission, as is expected of most galleries and museums in the UK. Museum shop was very affordable too. Great place to kill some time or have some solitude. Wouldn't mind visiting again!
During my recent visit to the Manchester Art Museum, I was amazed by the remarkable collection of art on display. The museum showcases a diverse range of exhibits that span a broad spectrum of artistic styles and movements, from classic paintings to modern sculptures, making it a must-visit destination for all art enthusiasts. One of the major highlights of my visit was the special exhibition featuring works by local artists, which gave me a unique insight into the rich artistic heritage of the region. The duration of the museum was simply exceptional, with each piece being complemented by insightful information and details about the artist, enhancing my overall experience. The museum itself is a beautiful and well-maintained space, with spacious galleries that provide a comfortable viewing experience. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to help and answer any queries I had, making me feel thoroughly welcomed. Overall, my visit to the Manchester Art Museum was an enriching and inspiring experience that left me with a deeper appreciation for art and creativity. I would highly recommend this museum to anyone looking for a unique and insightful cultural experience in the heart of the city. It is a true gem that deserves to be celebrated for its outstanding contribution to the art world.
This is a very lovely place. This place is very close to Piccadilly gardens, Manchester City centre and many places. The collection here is marvellous. If you expecting to see the art that are Louvre or Vatican City, it can't match that but it has its own collection. Some of the works I absolutely adore them. First I had been here two galleries were closed for a private ceremonies but next day I was the first to enter the gallery. So I highly recommend this place for any kids who wanna be artist someday. I recommend going here at 10 minutes to 10AM so that you will have peace and quiet and check the website to visit on weekday if possible because if you are an art lover like me you need piece and quiet to observe the art and finesse of the artists of mid 17th 18th century
Nice gallery with different kinds of art objects and pictures from different epochs, artists and cultures. It's a good activity for an afternoon, has a cute little shop and it's free.
