Beautiful piece of nature. Very healthy and friendly ducks, geese, and swans. Dog owners should keep their dogs on the lead during the spring and summer months as the there is always an abundance of ducklings, goslings, and cygnets.
Tranquil, peaceful place with great biodiversity. A little known oasis in Whitley Bay and only 5mins walk from centre. Ducks , geese and multiple other wildfowl.
Great little park, lake, wildlife and lots of trails to walk, car parking but no other facilities .
Very good place for a walk with the family and by yourself, the wildlife is beautiful, attracting even sea and river birds!!!
A little gem in the middle of Whitley Bay. The park is built in what was once a large quarry. There are numerous paths and seating. It is wheelchair friendly in one direction, but there are steps to negotiate to go all around. The centre of the park is a large late with an island in the middle with numerous ducks, geese and other bird life. Bats fly at night. There is good car parking but no toilets
Loved the walk around but need to clean the rubbish out of the lake
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
