Margam Country Park is full of surprises. With an industrial past, deer herd and a wonderful garden, it's the perfect place for heritage hunting, discovering nature and natural play.
Margam Park is a lovely place to visit. It's a large, beautiful park with lots of green space, gardens, and a stunning castle. There are plenty of walking paths, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. The park is family-friendly with plenty of area specially for kids and a farm for animal lovers. It's a great spot to enjoy nature, relax, have a day out or to have to do some adventure activities. There are easy level scenic walks or bicycle rides to hills. All trails are marked. The entrance is free but vehical parking ticket need to be purchased from the entrance counter.
Great country park with alot to see and alot of activities to do. no entry fee and only have to pay for parking. the food trailer at the fairy tale village do great food and is decently priced, nice place to see farm animals and some wild deer. great for both adults and children to have fun. definitely will be visiting some time in the future again.
It's such a beautiful park with stunning views that could easily be spent all day in. However, my biggest complaint, like in many parks, is the lack of general waste bins and dog bins. It was also sad to see that many of the farm pens were empty.
It's probably one of the most beautiful places I have visited. PS7.20 for parking but free entry, which i think is a reasonable price. Wild deer roaming. Dog friendly, but must be kept on lead in some areas. This is a massive place, so I advise comfy shoes and plenty to drink for you and any dogs you bring. They have a petting farm on site, you can but feed at the entrance stall. Great for walks, biking, dog walking. Pram and wheel chair accessible for the majority of the ground.
Great day out. PS7.70 to park and access to all activities are free when you get in. Fairytale land which is lovely, lots of miniature fairytale houses which children can go in. 2 big playgrounds, a farm trail, deers spotted at numerous times and areas. There were arts and crafts in the castle too. They have go-ape and carts there too but those were chargeable. Toilets dotted about. Miniature train from the castle cost PS3.25 per adult, PS1.70 per child but it was informative and the kids loved it. Well worth the money to park!
What an adventure! Every area of this wonderful park offered more beauty, more excitement. So much to do and explore, and something for everyone. Architecture to be wowed by, heaps of horticulture, places to play, space to get lost, physical adventures, acres of picnic space, hiking, incredible views... Please visit - you will have the BEST time.
